Divorcing Parents Seminars
Because of the impact on children during and after a divorce, many Georgia counties require that parents involved in custody matters with children under the age of 18 attend an educational seminar. These seminars may be required for couples seeking divorce, separate maintenance, paternity (once established), change of custody, visitation, legitimation (once established), and by specific order of the Court in Georgia.
We have compiled some resources for you below with links to different programs. These court-approved courses are conducted by qualified professionals who can help the parents identify and respond to the best interest of their children. Studies have shown that past participants felt that the course was helpful to them during the divorce process.
